The LV windings are paper insulated copper / aliminium conductor. Inter layer cooling dusts are provided, Usually it is helical or disc type. H.V. windings are DPC or enameled copper / aluminium conductor. Both the L.V. & H.V. coils are tightly wounded & designed from uniform heat circulation & to withstand mechanical forces under abnormal short-circuit.
